The Best of South Africa
Jarret and I spent three weeks with our best friends in South Africa!
I’ve always wanted to go and was so happy when we had the opportunity to this past summer.
When I tell you it was MAGICAL - I mean it. I almost can’t even talk about this trip because it was just. that. special. If you’ve been wanting to go or it’s never even been on your radar, I need you to book a ticket there immediately and invite me along. We did SO MUCH and I wanna tell you about it.
So, without further ado, here’s the best things to see and do in South Africa!
A Flower For Your Thoughts
This summer has been one of my favorites ever. From having my nephew here with us, to getting married, to spending time with the girl gang, to all the fun activities in-between, it has been chocked full. One of my favorite activities was going to Garden Sweet Farm and picking our own flowers. It’s a great budget-friendly activity that is so much fun for a girls trip, a solo adventure, or some family fun.
Bachelorette’s in Napa
Recently, some friends and I were fortunate enough to celebrate the engagement and impending nuptials of our friend Dani! And not just any celebration, a bachelorette trip to Napa Valley!
It was an amazing weekend filled with so much love between friends, more food than we could ever eat, laughter celebrating our wonderful friend before she becomes #landon4life.
I Can Buy Myself Flowers
But like, you can too.
I LOVE Valentine’s day!
Whether it’s Valentines, Galentines, or neither because it’s technically a made up holiday, it’s still fun to dress up and you know I can’t pass an opportunity for a photoshoot.
I put together a li’l bit of love-themed inspiration. So please enjoy 5 outfits for date-night, gal’s-get-together, or sitting-on-the-couch-with-your-cat-watching-schitts-creek-night.
Hello, 27
Today is my 27th birthday and I am officially unemployed!
Yup I quit my job!
The new year has brought so many changes I almost can’t keep up with all of them. Changing jobs, getting married, planning a wedding (yes in that order), and moving have all come around the same time and to say it’s been stress inducing would be an understatement. 2022 was one of the busiest years yet and filled with so much happiness and positive change.
How I Accidentally Got Married
So… I got married! On accident!
Straight out of a cheesy Hallmark movie or cliche romcom, Jarret and I accidentally became husband and wife.
‘How does this happen?’ one might ask. I STILL HAVE NO IDEA.
But before I get into the part where I was married for a solid 15 seconds and didn't know it, let me tell you a story…
A Birthday Blog
January marks a special occasion (and no it’s not just the fact that I had my birthday).
It has officially been one year since I started this blog!
I’ve had so much fun writing, taking photos, and pushing my creative boundaries in the past year. I’m also V proud of myself for sticking with this. So, in honor of the birth of my blog, here’s a little recap from the year + a few goals I have for the next.
NY Not?
Before the year is out, I want to take you on one more trip with me. I went to the big apple with some friends and it was such an amazing trip! We spent about 5 days in New York and 2 days in Philly and I loved every second of it. We went to tons of shows, explored parks, museums, and monuments, and walked more steps than I could possibly count. I ate my way through both cities and saw the Broadway shows of my dreams. I’ve never been on a friends trip before so this was an amazing and new experience.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Friendsmas + a gift guide
Christmas is right around the corner and if you’re like me, you still have loads of Christmas shopping to do. Now we all know Christmas isn't about stuff and gifts but let’s not pretend we don't spend hours browsing, buying, and agonizing over what gifts to get people - or is that just me? If I’m not the only one struggle bussing on what to get people, then stay tuned for my gift guide
Back on the Market
After my breakup post, I felt like the next step was to get back on the market…. the Christmas market I mean.
I LOVE Christmas. It’s my favorite time of year and I went to a couple of vintage Christmas markets to get me into the full holiday swing!
How to get over your breakup in 5 easy outfits
Whether you’re the dumper or dumpee, whether your relationship lasted two weeks or two years, and whether it’s the first or last time - break ups suck. So instead of wallowing in sadness and self-pity (I already did that for a few weeks), I decided to channel this into some fantastic outfits.
Give ‘Em Pumpkin To Talk About
I hope you’ve been enjoying the cooling weather, changing leaves, and copious amounts of all things pumpkin; I know I have! I wanted to do a fall lookbook to help inspire you for a new season. I’m obsessed with fall and I’m so excited we’re back to wearing comfy sweaters, cute boots, and all the jackets we can fit into the season. This fall is all about mixing and matching and, although this entire photoshoot was a bit impromptu, I think I did exactly that. So please enjoy this new lookbook: Give ‘em Pumpkin to Talk About.
Running Away to Costa Rica
We just spent six days in Costa Rica! We were so excited to be able to go this year and I went with my parents and we flew to San Jose, spent a few days in Manuel Antonio and then a day at La Paz Waterfall in Quepos. The people are so friendly, they treat you like family, the food is delicious (the pineapple pizza being my favorite), and the wildlife, oceans, and jungle are so picturesque you can’t quite believe they’re real. It was such a wonderful and memorable trip - but there was another reason why this trip was so important to me.
Feeling Those Fall Vibes
Despite the lack of actual cool weather here in Colorado, fall has officially arrived and October is mere days away. This means that all I can obsess over is comfy sweaters, falling leaves, and all things pumpkin. The leaves are beginning to change and with it, our wardrobes change as well. Here are 7 of my top picks for this season’s hottest trends for fall 2021!
Ice Ice Baby
I just got back from two, magical, wonderful, AMAZING weeks in Iceland!! I am absolutely heartbroken to be back in Colorado and am already planning on when I can go back. It was the dream trip I’ve been planning for over a year and I loved every second of it. A play-by-play of our tour is coming soon but for now, if you want some outfit ideas on how to dress extra in Iceland, read on!
Summer Lovin’
Potentially controversial opinion but - summer is my least favorite season. I just plain do not thrive in the heat but it’s my favorite in terms of how many activities there are to do! It’s also so much fun to break out dresses, cutie shorts, and all things light and lace. So here’s 5 of my favorite things to do over the summer (plus some bonus activities) and what you can wear while doing them!
Travel Diaries: Florida
I recently came back from a wonderful vacation in Florida and I wanted to share my trip with you guys! On the agenda: shopping (duh), exploring the botanical gardens, Universal Studios, and the beach. So enjoy some cute outfits, travel pictures, and a dash of nerdiness!
Tani Clan Craziness
One sister’s visit, another sister’s baby, a grandma’s love, and an unprepared aunt.
Sounds like the start of a bad joke doesn’t it? Well friends, it’s actually a completely accurate description of how life is going currently and we all love it.
Dressed in Blooms
The abundance of flowers on trees meant I grabbed my camera, my mom, and my favorite spring outfits and took as many photos as I could among the blossoms. This has culminated into a spring lookbook to showcase some beautiful flowers and fun outfits to inspire a new season in fashion.
Fave Finds
