Hi Friends!

Valentines Day is coming up and I know there are some mixed feelings about that. Personally, I’ve always loved Valentines Day. I love all of the pink and love and happiness that comes around with it. Yes, it’s totally a cheesy marketing and consumerism thing but I still love this time of year.

You don’t need a valentine to celebrate and enjoy Valentine’s Day. So whether you’re getting ready for a date with a special someone, or getting ready to cuddle with your cats on the couch (me), here’s some fun outfit ideas to wear that hopefully give you a little bit of happiness and a little bit of inspiration.

  1. Bold and Bright

Outfit details: Wanida Boutique dress; Rag & Bone Shiloh sandals; Tiffany and Co open heart necklace; gold plated rings; Coach x Pacman Hayden foldover crossbody.

I’ll be honest with you, this isn’t actually my dress; it’s on loan from my amazing friend, Britt. This is from Wanida Boutique and I really just can’t get enough of the flounces and volume. I feel like a red velvet cupcake and really, what else could I ask for?

If you can’t tell by how many pictures I’ve posted of this outfit, I LOVE this dress. It’s stunning, bright, and happy. Perfect for a Valentine’s Day outfit that’s sure to wow everyone.

2. Out of the Box

Of course, you don’t need to wear white/pink/red colors on Valentines Day. Sometimes you just gotta wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and confident. Go outside the box and rock it in beautiful blues and your most killer LBD.

3. Fun and Flirty

Outfit details: Reformation Inga dress in Leila; Audrey Brooke block glitter heels; Gucci supreme mini Dionysus bag; Kendra Scott gold bracelet; Gurhan pearl skittle ring; vintage gold heart necklace.

When you want a little sweetness to your outfit, pull out a midi dress in soft pink hues and some flirty heels to bring out your feminine side.
Puff sleeves and a daring slit add some interest to this silhouette and while my outfit says “spring”, my toes said “please put on some socks in this freezing weather.

4. Casual and Easy

Outfit details: Wildfox Loved t-shirt; Levi’s straight leg white jeans; Adidas grand court sneakers; Coach Jade shoulder bag; consigned earrings.

Just because it’s Valentine’s Day doesn’t mean you have to go all out in a fancy outfit. Whether it’s a casual day with your loved one or a rocking Galentines with your girl gang, embrace the holiday of love in a monochromatic melange of whites and pastels.

5. What I’m actually wearing

Outfit details: Victoria’s Secret ribbed jogger and top set in ribbed mauve; Lululemon chill on pullover in quicksand; rose gold and gold hammered band rings; Anthropologie mismatched studs; scrunchies from Nordstrom Rack; socks from DSW.

Now that you’ve seen some fun and flirty options for date night or galentine’s, here is what I am actually wearing this Valentine’s.

Not only do we have subzero weather here in Colorado but, like every year, my plans for Valentines include snuggling with my cats, hanging with friends/family, and eating some really amazing food without a care to how big my food baby will be.

I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine’s Day and I will see you next time with an extra special post!
