Spring Roundup

Trends I’m loving for Spring 2021

Hi Friends!

Even though it’s half past April and we’re still seeing snow in Colorado, I’m longing for spring weather. Now I am full blown ready for spring, fresh starts, flowers, and the goslings that are sure to hatch soon.

I am loving all of the spring trends I’m seeing and came up with a few that I’m currently obsessed with and looking to incorporate into my own wardrobe. These are just my looks that currently I’m loving and none of them are based off necessarily the most current fashion trends or it items. It’s just things I’ve seen and adored and would love to incorporate into my wardrobe (using my handy dandy guide to shopping resale).

Now, these are by no means items you need to purchase to be fashionable but it is a great starting point for inspiration in terms of color, silhouette, and style.

So here is a list that will hopefully give you a little bit of spring fever!

  1. Lilac Love

I’m looking for fun and happy this year and pastels perfectly fits the bill. The pink/purple screams femininity and happiness and really, who doesn't want that?

Lavender is also on my radar which is on the more blue/purple side!

2. Toile Time

I don’t normally gravitate towards prints but there’s something about toile that draws me in. Specifically when it’s in a blue and white, it reminds me of pottery and beautiful porcelain vases and art.

Now I do already have a beautiful toile-esque print dress and man I’m loving it. Crisp whites and soft blues make me dream of lands beyond.

Hands down, Christian Dior is the master of Toile. Since 2019, Dior has incorporated toile and toile-esque prints as part of their collections and you just can’t help but love each one.

3. Beautiful Bags

A universally accepted truth is that you cannot have too many bags. My handbag collection is pretty small but I am looking to branch out in some fun ways this spring.

I’m becoming more adventurous in terms of styles and colors and I’m vibing with each of these interesting bags.

4. VA VA VOLUME

Whether it’s puffy sleeves, wide legs, or an all around hot-air-balloon kind of dress, I am obsessed with anything that will give you flow and volume.

Volume looks good on any body type and any height, you just have to find what works for you.

5. Tropical Paradise

Like everyone else, I am dreaming of days where we can travel. Anything that reminds of days on the beach, piña coladas, and hearing the waves crash against the sand is a win in my book.

I’m particularly inspired by Farm Rio, a Brazilian brand with some of the best tropical prints out there but there are so many brands that do tropical/happy prints they’re not in short supply.

They’re so easy and flowy. You should be sipping a smoothie on your way to the beach and really isn’t that all we want all the time anyway?

6. Beige Babe

Every spring I go back to my roots and basics that I can’t help but love. I am obsessed with whites, creams, and beige. It’s simple, chic, and classic and I just can’t get enough of this color palette.

7. Honorable Mentions

Lastly, these are just a few items that have caught my eye that are fun!
