Fave Finds: Resale Edition
7 of the best items I’ve found from resale, consignment, and secondhand!
Hi Friends!
Tis I, Hannah Banana and today I wanted to give you a chance at snooping through my closet and show you a couple of my faves.
From local consignment to online thrifting, I have shopped secondhand for years. I would guesstimate that about 70% of my wardrobe is from resale which is great for my wallet and the environment. Over the years, I’ve found so many amazing things and it was hard to narrow down but here is a list of a few of my top favorites.
Gucci Dionysus Supreme Mini Bag
Out of all of the items in my closet, this is one of the most special and perhaps my all time favorite resale find. I bought this bag in 2020 as a graduation gift to myself. It was a long road to graduating college and I was miraculously able to do it debt free! Buying this bag was a celebration of what I had achieved and an investment in a future I hadn’t yet created.
This bag is perfect for me in terms of size and style. I’m a small bag kind of gal and don’t carry much with me so it’s the perfect size for my essentials. I know a lot of people think buying a luxury bag is absolutely crazy and I promise you: I hear what you’re saying, I just don’t agree with it. Finding this bag was just a matter of right moment right time and I was lucky to get an amazing deal on it. It’s definitely one of my forever bags.
2. Bed Stu Manchester Boots
Secondhand shoes are very hit or miss. While I have found quite a few amazing pairs there’s definitely been a few where you get home and go “ah, that’s why someone got rid of them.” As tragic as that is, I don’t shy away from resale shoes because it lets me try some new styles and brands out without overdoing it in the budget department.
An absolute gem I found were these Bed Stu boots. Now I had looked at this exact pair of boots for years on Anthropologie but didn’t want to shell out $295 on them. I was pumped to find these at Buffalo Exchange in Denver (now closed) for around $80. These are one of my favorite pair of boots because they are equally stylish and comfortable. (Even my mom has the same pair!) I love the shape of the toe box, the color of the leather, the slouchy-but-not-too-slouchy feel, and the details of the laces in the back. I can wear these boots all day at work (which is saying something) and I’ll pair them with dresses or jeans for an easy outfit.
3. Massimo Dutti Pleated Wool Pants
Is anyone else obsessed with tapered pants? Because I am. Pleats, tapers, and straight leg crops have captured my heart. I have slowly been transitioning my closet from skinny to straight and tapered leg styles and so I was pumped to find these for a mere $14.
These pants give me grandma chic vibes and I am absolutely loving it! I rarely buy jeans or pants in resale because I am very picky about the fit but these make me feel fantastic and I was so happy to find them! I’ve only had them a few months so far but I wear them at least once a week and I often pair it with a cream/white top and gold accents. Divine.
4. Rings
Ghuran Skittle Pearl Ring
David Yurman Blue Topaz Ring
I am a big believer that you don’t need no man to buy you nice jewelry. I have only bought a few, high quality pieces from resale but they are regular staples in my wardrobe. Simple, classic, and easy they match with everything I have and make me feel a little more put together. I wear both of these rings almost daily and they match my style perfectly.
5. A New Day Sherpa Coat
Okay this one I’m extra proud of. This jacket has been my favorite this winter because I love the length, the color, and how warm it keeps me no matter how cold it is. I found it at Clothes Mentor and it was on clearance for something like $7 and no regrets. There’s some large tears in the inner lining I need to fix and haven’t yet bothered to but no one sees the inside of the jacket, so who really cares right?
6. Lululemon anything.
If you know me, you’ll know I am Lulu obsessed.
Now, do I workout? Absolutely not.
Do I do yoga? Negatory.
But
I really just can’t help myself. Their clothing is well made, comfortable, and gives my practically concave bum at least a little shape. I have converted many people over to the dark side so if you’ve never tried on a pair of leggings, sweatpants, or their wonderful sweatshirts I highly recommend it! One day I’ll do a whole post about how to shop resale Lululemon but the point of this is that my Lululemon pieces have been the backbone of my lazy girl style for a very long time.

7. Denim & Supply Ralph Lauren Tiered Dress
From Paris to Rome, this thrifted dress has traveled all over the world with me. It isn’t the most show-stopping piece but is a great staple to have nevertheless. It was something like $8 at Arc and was purchased 5+ years ago and hasn’t left my closet since.
This dress is an XL, doesn’t have a lining, and I’m pretty sure there’s a small hole in it somewhere but it’s so easy, comfortable, and the movement of the tiers gives it a great shape. I don’t shop at thrift stores very often because I usually choose the curated selection of a consignment store but this is one of those items that has stuck with me and been a great travel piece.
